Neaspec is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for nanoscale optical imaging & spectroscopy for research laboratories in industry and academic institutions.
Established in 2007 as a spin-off from the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry near Munich by the leading experts of apertureless near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM), Neaspec is until today the only commercial supplier of apertureless NSOM microscopes.
After 15 years of R&D, Neaspec now introduces the NeaSNOM microscopy platform. NeaSNOM is based on Neaspecs patented technique that combines the high resolution of the atomic force microscopy (AFM) with optical imaging and spectroscopy beyond the diffraction limit – even in infrared and terahertz. The microscopy platform integrates an optimized AFM base with patented optical focusing and signal detection modules, enabling background-free optical imaging and spectroscopy in the material fingerprint region in the infrared, visible and terahertz spectral region with a resolution on the order of only 10 nm.
NeaSNOM has a high application potential in many disciplines such as Semiconductor Technology, Chemistry, Photonics, Polymer Science and Life-Sciences, while it only requires standard AFM sample preparation methods. Selected examples are Semiconductor Free Carrier Distribution Maps, Chemical Nano-Composition Maps, Nanoscale Phase Transition, Nano-Plasmonic Fields, Nanoscale Stress/Strain Fields and many more (see our application notes section).
The unique expertise in near-field micrscopy of the Neaspec team guarantees not only the top performance of NeaSNOM systems excelled by “Made in Germany” quality, but also a complete professional service, on-site training and personalized customer support.
